Mary Stewart Mitchell, the owner of Richmond Radon Testing is a local Richmonder. Mary Stewart started her real estate career in 2018 after leaving her job in cancer genetic testing. She believes strongly in science and helping to educate her fellow real estate professionals and home owners on the risks associated with Radon in homes and is committed to helping save lives. Mary Stewart will provide you with the very best customer service experience and is excited to help deliver fast and reliable results. She is certified by the NRPP-National Radon Proficiency Program and is Licensed and Insured. She is also a member of the NAR and RAR.

OUR SERVICES

Our Services: Richmond Radon Testing offers short term testing. We use CRM (continuous radon monitors) that give hourly readings and real time radon averages. The Sun Radon Model 1028XP units are NRPP and C-NRPP and NRSB approved. Most tests take 48 hours for real estate transactions and the results are available at the conclusion of the test. The info will be provided to the client and his/her real estate agent in written form and can also be emailed.

Normally, only one monitor is needed for most residential tests. However, there are some exceptions:

• If the home is bigger than >2000 square feet per floor of space attached to the earth.

•If there is more than one method of attachment to the earth (slab on grade as well as crawl space) or if it is a Tri-Level type home. Radon can sometimes be found to be higher in the living area above the crawl space than in the living area above the slab.

However, if your home has different foundations such as a basement and a crawl space, You may need two tests done. Also, if you have more than 2000 square feet on one floor, you may need more than one test done.
